Who?
Jamaica Bauxite Mining Limited (JBM) is a 100% owned Government of Jamaica (GOJ) entity with a business enterprise mandate. 'Ochi' Premium Alkaline Spring Water emerged from the acknowledgment that the spring can be widely used commercially, especially in light of its distinct locational advantage.

Where?
Located in the garden parish of Jamaica - St. Ann, the Ochi Spring Water plant will be located across from Reynolds Pier, Ocho Rios, in the heart of a prime cruise destination. 

 

What?
Having been approved by the domestic regulator, Water Resources Authority (WRA), Ochi Spring Water will be produced in a facility that has the ability to produce over half million bottles of high quality certified alkaline bottled spring water in two sizes – 300 ml and 500 ml.

Why?
We have a competitive advantage due to our strategic location, primarily. The logistic positioning of the spring, opposite the Reynolds Pier, enables Ochi to affordably and conveniently serve export markets, the tourism ports of Ocho Rios, Jamaica and its surrounding locales. Our wholesale distribution strategy will afford Ochi Spring Water a pricing advantage of about 25%.

How?

The Ochi Spring Water trading name is a JBM brand belonging to the Government of Jamaica. The bottled 300ml and 500ml water will be available under our brand and as a white label product for premium clients in the cruise and on land tourism businesses. 

When?

​Testing of the product will be done in December 2022 for official market launch to the market in March 2023.
